One of my big loves is music.  I like a varied range which includes Showaddywaddy, Shakin Stevens, Elvis Presley, Micheal Buble, Meatloaf, you know, Rock 'n' Roll and the power ballad singers and bands.

In January of 2024, my health conditions worsened and I was found unfit for work.  Whilst the body has been grateful for the rest, the mind, on the other hand has been somewhat different.  As a way of keeping it busy, I decided to make some notebooks, colouring books, puzzle books and when I have the energy, I will take them to a local craft fair or something like that to sell them.

One positive thing happened this year and that I was honoured to have been able to conduct the wedding ceremony for my Mum and my Stepdad.  Not bad, after being together for 49 years!

It was for this ceremony that I was going to write a poem, another passion of mine, but as my mum has heard a lot of my poems and that her sisters were also wanting to recite poetry during the service, I decided to try and write a song.  Great but with one problem.  I'm not a musician.  So I trawled the internet and I found an app that would put both music and vocals to my lyrics.  The song sounded great and was very well received by everyone at the wedding service.  This got me thinking.  What if I were to write an album of songs.  So I did, and this is now available for sale on all the major streaming sites.

It is called Victory's Call and in the next few days this will be joined by Victory's Call and Christmas.
